The Importance of Mountain Bike Ratings

!±8± The Importance of Mountain Bike Ratings

The sport of mountain biking can be really fun and relaxing. Or it can be adrenaline filled if you choose to take part in the more challenging downhill racing. Whatever you plan to do with your mountain bike, if you are just starting out then you may be confused as to which bike to choose and what the best bikes actually are. That is where mountain bike ratings come in and they can prove to be invaluable when choosing your next bike.

Looking into Mountain Bike Ratings

Usually before you purchase anything it is a good idea to research more into the product. This is especially the case with mountain bikes as they can be particularly expensive and you really do not want to purchase something expensive that isn't right for you. By looking at mountain bike ratings you get to see which ones are of a better quality and which ones you should potentially stay away from.

Basically when you look at mountain bike ratings it is like looking at a review. You need to keep in mind that different people see products in different ways. So whilst one expert may love a particular bike, another may absolutely hate it. That is why when you look into mountain bike ratings, you should always look at as many different sources as possible.

One of the most popular mountain bikes available today is the GT Avalanche. If you research the ratings of this model you will see that most people have given it either 4 or 5 stars. However because it is so good it will cost you quite a lot of money and you should expect to pay around ,000. However it is extremely durable and it is perfect for going along rough terrain. So it should last you years which is an investment if you are planning on taking part in the sport regularly.

Another popular bike which is a lot less expensive is the Schwinn Mesa. It is usually given between 3.5 to 5 stars and it too is quite a durable bike. It is perfect for the beginner and it will usually set you back around 0. So it is definitely one of the more reasonably priced mountain bikes available on the market. This mountain bike may also be an excellent choice for the biker who is not planning on taking part in the sport that often.

If you want a bike which looks good then a popular one for its sleek appearance is the GMC Sport mountain bike. It is usually given 4 to 5 stars and it is an extremely tough bike. It can handle all kinds of rough terrain and just like the Schwinn Mesa; it too will cost you around 0 which is a real bargain for a good looking, durable bike.

Overall looking at the latest mountain bike ratings can help you to make your mind up regarding your new bike. Just remember to look at more than one source for the ratings in order to get the best possible advice.

Buying a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier

!±8± Buying a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier

If you're in the market to buy a new Mesa Boogie dual or triple rectifier then you should read this article first. In this article we will go over what kind of sound to expect, the best place to buy one, and how much you will have to spend. After reading this article you will be able to decide for your self if a mesa boogie is right for you.

What Kind of Sound to Expect

First of all there are two types of Mesa Boogie rectifiers the dual and the triple. The only differences between the two are number of watts. The Mesa Boogie dual rectifier is 100 watts and the triple is 150 watts. In most cases you will never need 150 watts and for that reason I would choose the dual over the triple. The dual rectifier is a very aggressive and versatile amp. You can achieve a high gain with a lot of low end, which is great for hard rock and heavy metal. Also, if you turn the gain down and tweak the frequencies you can utilize the Mesa for a blues or mellow rock sound. In addition, this amp doesn't have the greatest clean tone in my opinion, so if your looking for something for clean open chord tones you might want to keep shopping. Most people believe that when if comes to either of the Mesa Boogie Rectifiers that they sound the best when they are turned all the way up.

Where You Should Purchase a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier

When it comes to purchasing a Mesa Dual rectifier I would almost always recommend buying a used one. The reason for this is because the amps are built with superior durability and dependability. Therefore, by purchasing one used you will save yourself around a thousand dollars. The best place to find a used rectifier would be from eBay or Craigslist. In addition, when buying from either of these places do your homework so you can avoid being taken advantage of. If you choose eBay then always make your sure it is from a trusted seller with a good rating. This will help ensure that your product is in good working order and if it isn't the seller will take it back. If you decide to go with Craigslist then make sure you deal with someone local in town. Never deal with shipping or pay pal when it comes to Craigslist. It is almost a dead give away that someone is trying to scam you.

How much Does a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Cost

When you purchase a new Mesa Boogie rectifier you can easily expect to spend around two thousand dollars. The only added benefit of buying one new is that you know the history and it comes with a warranty. However, like I mentioned before these amps are built like tanks rarely ever have any problems. It is for this reason that I am recommending that you buy a used one. A used one will typically cost anywhere from eight hundred to fifteen hundred dollars.

Where to Shop in Orange County, California if You are on a Budget

!±8± Where to Shop in Orange County, California if You are on a Budget

Shopping in Orange County, California is practically as much of a national pastime as watching an Angel's game, and just as costly. There are places to go and fun to be had when on a mission-you just have to follow a few guidelines.

First-decide what you want to shop for and if you intend to actually buy during this preliminary round. An example: You want to look for a new pair of walking shoes, but you won't be prepared to actually fork over your credit card until your next billing cycle-which is two weeks out. Then relax, in a manner of speaking, and go to the larger malls that have the big name chain stores and try on various brands and types. Best part is, you get more than your daily sprint in if you use a brisk pace during the "look-see" and then go back to do some in-depth window shopping.

Some of the best malls to cruise:

Fashion Island in Newport Beach. This area is all outdoors has everything from McDonald's to Bloomingdale's. Good place to take out-of-town guests who want the real "O.C." experience.

South Coast Plaza and the Crystal Court. These are interconnected and have many designer stores and eateries. Even Tiffany's and Prada are represented. But if you are really looking for "walkers", Footlocker also has a booth. Stores aren't the only thing high end here, customers tend to dress for the day's stroll as well.

The Shops at Mission Viejo. Used to be dark and dingy, but now it's close to rivaling Fashion Island in look and designers.

Some up and coming malls-Huntington Beach Center is now all outdoors and is looking quite nice.

On the flip side, if you are looking to actually shop til you drop: try The Block at Orange and the surrounding areas outside of the South Coast Plaza. Both have outlet stores for several major brands, as well as some fine discount/off season shops.

More down to earth, one of a kind places can be found at The Circle in Orange, where there are many little artisan shops and antique stores. The same could be said for Laguna Beach in various little enclaves throughout the main streets, right off of Pacific Coast Highway. The Lab-in Costa Mesa opposite the major mall, calls itself an "alternative" shopping mecca, is small but has some unique items.

Looking for some pampering and entertainment at the same time? Try the Kaleidoscope in Mission Viejo. Nice eateries, art galleries, a Bristol Farms, Bally's gym (presumably to work off the calories ingested at the restaurants), movies and a Burke-Williams DaySpa.

Orange County indeed has something for everyone-even if you have to really buy those new walkers first to get the most out of the venues.
